It’s been 2 weeks post op already! My wound is looking really good and healing well. The sutures came out yesterday so I’m starting to feel like I’m on my way to a good recovery.
Of course I’m still taking it easy and gradually building back up to my normal routine. I’m still cautious to get to ahead of myself because last year I got to 5 weeks post op and the infection hit! I think once I get to 2-4 months down the track I’ll feel more at ease.
I’m extremely grateful for the team I’ve had around me - my neurosurgeon, plastic surgeon and the nurses that have helped me to date. Here’s to taking each day as it comes and continuing to recover so I can get back to normality!
